To support our mission we are currently seeking an experienced Principal Mechanical Engineer – Materials Handling to join our team in Vancouver.

What does this role involve?
•Approving and delivering mechanical/materials handling designs in accordance with sound design principles, practices and specifications to meet operational, safety and functional requirements
•Supporting the Materials Handling Team to deliver a range of technical services, covering all activities from Client interaction, Project Development/Preliminary Design, Detail Design, Construction Support & Commissioning in line with Safety, Schedule, Budget and Quality parameters.
•Ensuring mechanical/materials handling designs meet clients’ expectations by maintaining a high level of communication with clients
•Leading and coaching a team of specialist Mechanical/Materials Handling Engineers to deliver high quality solutions to our clients

What are we looking for in our future team member?
•Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical)
•Registered as a Professional Engineer in Canada
•At least 15 years’ experience with demonstrated experience with leading and mentoring junior engineers
•Strong experience in two or more of the following areas: design, project development, project delivery, site operations/support
•The ability to be self-managed with previous experience with multiple clients would be highly regarded.
