The Project

Safely delivering next-generation infrastructure that better connects people and transforms communities is at the heart of what we do. The New Dunedin Hospital project is the single largest hospital project ever undertaken in New Zealand. Te Whatu Ora has awarded CPB Contractors the Early Contractor Engagement Contract for the Inpatient Building, in recognition of our depth of experience in the delivery of healthcare facilities across Australasia.

Spanning 74,000m2 and constructed on the former Cadbury Chocolate Factory in the centre of the city, the Inpatient Building will provide high quality acute medical facilities in support of its role as a tertiary teaching hospital. Onsite services will include 410 beds, 26 operating theatres, imaging suites and radiology. With a five-star Greenstar sustainability rating, the building's design and it’s use of the latest technology will provide real change to the delivery of healthcare within the region.

Your opportunity:

Reporting to the Project Director, the Site Administrator will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient running of the project office. Our ideal candidate will be competent in all facets of office administration, ranging from, scheduling meetings, minutes taking, organising team events, maintaining office supplies and supporting the project management team where required.  

As this role is the first point of contact at the project, for visitors, suppliers and our team, our preferred candidate will have exceptional phone manner and communication skills to ensure positive impressions, first time, every time.

What you need to be successful:

  • Competent in the use of Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint,
  • 2-3 years’ experience in an administration or project coordination role.
  • Competent report writing and effective communication skills.
  • Knowledge or passion for compliance and reporting procedures, processes.
  • Construction experience an advantage

This a full-time, permanent role, that will commence as soon as possible.
