The Project

CPB Contractors in joint venture partnership with Sedgman, SC Joint Venture (SCJV), has been selected by BHP to undertake the Western Ridge Crusher Project, involving construction of a new primary crusher, a 12-kilometre overland conveyor, radial stacker, and associated stockpiling systems, with a capacity of 30Mtpa.  The Project is located on Nyiyaparli Country, approximately 21 Kilometres southwest of Newman, in the Pilbara region of Western Australia.  Works are commencing now and will go through until mid 2026.  

Your Opportunity

As the Planner, you will be providing the planning expertise to develop & direct the controls and planning function on this iconic Resources project. This is a permanent position working for Australia’s leading construction contractor that is delivering Australia’s most important projects. This will be a FIFO site-based position working a 14/7 roster.

Our minimum requirements for this role are:

  • Qualifications in Mechanical Engineering, Construction or other relevant qualifications
  • Extensive relevant industry planning/scheduling experience on large scale civil infrastructure projects
  • Display advanced software skills with Primavera (P6 user)
  • High level ability in recommending mitigating measures for project delays and providing schedule delay impact analysis and forecasting
  • High level ability in maintaining productive relationships with the Project Team, client representatives and sub-contractors
  • Ability to lead the development of Progress Measurement Systems for the project
  • Absolute commitment to safety in everything you do
