• Overseeing the group’s approach to engineering design, temporary works, and digital engineering across business units.
• Assisting business units in selecting the most appropriate design firms based on capability, resource availability, cost, innovation and commercial approach
• Developing and maintaining relationships with major design partners, ACS’s Global Engineering Network, Engineers Australia and EIC
• Leading CPB’s strategy on engineering risk and mitigation.
• Developing CPB’s ability to leverage overseas engineering capabilities for cost-effective and innovative design solutions.
• Collaborating with commercial and legal teams to maintain standard commercial agreements with designers.
• Providing functional leadership to Senior Engineering Managers and coordinating the National Engineering Steering Committee
• Ensuring CPB develops and maintains a competitive digital offering
• Standardising and driving innovation in survey methods and practices to enhance project delivery and accuracy.

What we would like you to possess:

• Extensive experience in engineering design and project management and hold the commensurate qualifications
• Excellent stakeholder management, facilitation and communication skills, including the ability to negotiate with and influence senior leadership and key partners.
• Demonstrated experience managing and mitigating engineering risk and ensuring successful project outcomes.
• Expertise in digital engineering strategies and implementation of new technologies.

This role supports the CPB Contractors business across Australia, New Zealand and Papua New Guinea and will be based in one of our HQ locations.
