The Project

CPB Constructors, in Alliance partnership with Sedgman, SC Joint Venture (SCJV) has been selected by BHP to undertake the Western Ridge Crusher Project, involving construction of a new primary crusher, a 12-kilometre overland conveyor, radial stacker, and associated stockpiling systems, with a capacity of 30Mtpa. The Project is located on Nyiyaparli Country, approximately 21 Kilometres southwest of Newman, in the Pilbara region of Western Australia.  Works are commencing now and will go through until mid 2026.  

Your opportunity

The role will provide administrative support to the plant team, which may include managing the day-to-day activities of team, inclusive of diary management/scheduling, communications, reporting, records management, procurement, accounts/invoices, travelling & logistics and purchasing. File management & Document Control. This is a site-based role working on a fly-in-fly-out (FIFO) basis with 14 days on and 7 days off schedule.

Key Responsibilities 

  • Maintain an effective filing/archiving system to ensure records and documents are suitably protected from damage and are readily available.
  • Provide support to ensure all owned plant & equipment is maintained to comply with project and Australian Safety Standards.
  • Plan and coordinate a Plant Maintenance planning system to improve plant reliability.
  • Maintain the maintenance program using a database by promptly generating & issuing work orders to Mechanical or Electrical Supervisors for action.
  • Order and maintain onsite stock of various stationary/parts required.

Required qualifications and experience

  • Previous experience working as a Plant Administrator in a FIFO construction work environment.
  • Ability to work to deadlines and manage conflicting priorities in a high-volume work environment
  • Ability to negotiate and resolve conflicts with confidence, but tactful
