The Project

CPB Constructors, in Alliance partnership with Sedgman, SC Joint Venture (SCJV) has been selected by BHP to undertake the Western Ridge Crusher Project, involving construction of a new primary crusher, a 12-kilometre overland conveyor, radial stacker, and associated stockpiling systems, with a capacity of 30Mtpa.  The Project is located on Nyiyaparli Country, approximately 21 Kilometres southwest of Newman, in the Pilbara region of Western Australia.  Works are commencing now, and will go through until mid 2026.  

Your opportunity

Join CPB Contractors as a full-time employee and contribute to the success of one of Australia's largest contractors. Engage with industry leaders from project start-up, working on a fly-in-fly-out (FIFO) basis with a balanced 14 days on and 7 days off schedule.

We have opportunities for experienced Boilermakers to join our team.  

Our minimum requirements for this role are:

  • Trade Qualification 
  • Plant Equipment experience 
  • Demonstrate First Attack Firefighting Equipment (desirable)
  • Australian Driver’s Licence
  • Construction site experience, in a similar FIFO role, 2-3 years minimum
  • Hold unit of competency CPCWHS1001 Prepare to work safety in the construction industry, or upload previously completed white card again USI, state equivalent to CPCCWHS1001 and still within the construction industry, and be registered under Construction Induction Training Card Database
  • Strong safety awareness
