The Project

CPB Contractors and DT Infrastructure in a joint venture have been successful in securing the $1.18 billion design and construction contract for the Warringah Freeway upgrade. This crucial upgrade will make the Warringah Freeway more efficient and reliable through upgrading four kilometres of the Warringah Freeway, between High Street at North Sydney and Willoughby Road at Naremburn, works also include connections to the future Western Harbour Tunnel and Beaches Link tunnel projects.

The Warringah Freeway is one of the nation’s busiest and most complex road corridors and as Sydney continues to grow, the upgrade will make trips more efficient and reliable for the drivers who use it every day. Works are scheduled to commence late 2021 with the main work to start early next year. Construction is expected to take approximately five years to complete.  

Your opportunity

We are seeking to appoint an experienced Environment Advisor to support the Warringah Freeway Upgrade, based in North Sydney.  Reporting to the Environment Manager, the Environment Advisor will:

  • Preparation of project environmental management documentation, including developing environmental assessments, environmental management plans, systems procedures and tools
  • Undertake environmental monitoring (noise / dust / water quality) onsite
  • Provide advice and support on licensing approvals and conditions
  • Document environmental compliance through inspection, monitoring and toolbox training records

Our minimum requirements for this role are:

  • 3-5 years’ experience in environmental management on construction projects
  • A degree in an environmental, scientific or engineering discipline
  • White Card Construction Induction
  • Completion of an applicable course from the Institute of Applied Technology – Construction will be highly regarded for more info on I-ATC Institute of Applied Technology - TAFE NSW
