The Project

CPB Contractors and DT Infrastructure are working in a joint venture to deliver the $1.18 billion design and construction contract for the Warringah Freeway upgrade. This crucial upgrade will make the Warringah Freeway more efficient and reliable through upgrading four kilometres of the Warringah Freeway, between High Street at North Sydney and Willoughby Road at Naremburn. Works also include connections to the future Western Harbour Tunnel and Beaches Link tunnel projects.

The Warringah Freeway is one of the nation’s busiest and most complex road corridors and as Sydney continues to grow, the upgrade will make trips more efficient and reliable for the drivers who use it every day.

Your opportunity

We are seeking to appoint an experienced Site Engineer to support the Warringah Freeway Upgrade project based in Sydney, NSW. The role will be focused on monitoring the project plan and recording progress against the program, resolving engineering issues, ensuring technical matters with the project are compliant and driving a zero-harm safety culture on site.

Your responsibilities in the role will include:

  • Contribute to a safe work culture and ensure works are delivered to legislative and project standards
  • Review and understand construction drawings, specifications and method statements
  • Liaise, communicate and plan with the foreman and subcontractors on a daily basis to achieve target outcomes
  • Ensure project delivery is compliant with project standards
  • Ensure on-site works are delivered to quality standards and complete all relevant documentation
  • Participate in and maintain cost management of daily activities
  • Prepare documentation for procurement of subcontractors and suppliers
  • Ensure allocated work packages and resources are managed to ensure costs are within or below budget, and contribute to the achievement of project targets

Our minimum requirements for this role are:

  • Tertiary qualification in Engineering
  • 1-2 years experience in a similar role across the execution of major infrastructure projects
  • RMS experience is preferred but not mandatory
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • The ability to develop and maintain good working relationships internally and externally
