The Suburban Connect consortium, comprising CPB Contractors, ACCIONA and Ghella, have been selected by the Victorian Government to deliver the first major tunnelling package on the Suburban Rail Loop (SRL) East project.

The package includes construction of a 16-kilometre section of the project’s twin tunnels, including tunnelling between Cheltenham and Glen Waverley, 55 safety cross passages between the tunnels, station boxes at Clayton and Monash and the construction of portals – the entrances and exits to the tunnels – at the stabling facility.

About the Opportunity:

Join our team as a Senior Communications and Media Advisor. You'll be reporting directly to the Communication and Stakeholder Director and will be responsible for managing all media engagement events, opportunities and risks relevant to the project.

The key responsibilities of the role include:

  • Delivering engagement media strategies that will bring the project stories to life
  • Work in collaboration with SRLA media to deliver comprehensive media opportunities for SRLA – Tunnelling South
  • Promote the benefits and milestones of the transformative, city shaping SRL
  • Provide behind the scenes access to audiences and media organisations through exclusive features and vision
  • Tell the human-interest stories that are the core of everything we do
  • Celebrate and promote the long-term benefits and legacies the project will create
  • Proactive management of media risks and opportunities

We are looking for someone with:

  • An understanding of major infrastructure and transport projects.
  • Experience in infrastructure (would be valuable)
  • Risk management and reputation management focus
  • Strong stakeholder engagement experience
