The purpose of the TasWater Capital Delivery Office (CDO) is to ensure cost-effective and timely delivery of quality capital works projects for TasWater that will meet the needs of TasWater’s business, their stakeholders and the communities of Tasmania for years to come. The TasWater CDO manages the TasWater Capital Works Program from inception to completion including the planning, design, procurement, and delivery phases.

We are proud of our great team here at TasWater (CDO) and are on the lookout for an experienced Project Engineer who will contribute to the development and delivery of our upcoming long term TasWater CDO projects. Our projects are based across the state of Tasmania, some including the Selfs Point Sewage Treatment Plant Expansion Project, Tamar Estuary River Health Action Plan Project (TERHAP), Bicheno Recycled Water Scheme.  Regional Towns Water Supply Project, Smithton Sewage Pump Station Upgrade & Pet Dam Safety Upgrade.

This exciting role is for the Regional Towns Project and can based in either Launceston or Hobart, but applicants must be able and prepared to travel to projects around the state. Should you need to relocate to Tasmania to take up the opportunity with us, relocation assistance is available.

About the project:

Works are focused on existing Water Treatment Plants that require upgrades or a review of alternate options, including increased treated water storage which will provide improved quality and supply to meet the needs of the Tasmanian community.

This project focuses on the improvement of water quality, upgraded storage capacity for current and future needs, and security of supply to regional Tasmanian towns.

Stage 4 of our works is split into two phases and involves construction of new water pipelines, water pump stations, additional water storage, decommissioning a redundant water treatment plant and construction of a new treatment plant and an upgrade.
