About the role

At UGL, we believe a company’s ability to move with market changes and new technologies comes down to the strength of its teams. At present, we have an opening for a Senior Business Analyst based out of our corporate head office in North Sydney.

The successful candidate will be responsible for management of business reporting. To include consolidation, analysis and reporting of group divisional results, including but not limited to P&L, balance sheet and cash flow analysis, order book (work in hand) and project level reporting.

Your responsibilities will include

  • Consolidate and report monthly results including review and input of results into consolidation system, along with preparation of quarterly consolidated forecasting.
  • Manage the consolidated project reporting, including reconciling, reviewing and liaising with divisional finance managers as well as critically analysing the P&L and balance sheet results.
  • Manage the consolidated work in hand reporting within the systems including reconciling and analysing monthly wins and variations.
  • Consolidated overhead reporting to parent company, includes providing insightful sensitivity analysis of movements and variances monthly via divisional reports.
  • Reporting changes, system structure changes, account changes and point of contact for divisional requests.
  • Consolidation of the annual budget and liaising directly with all divisional finance teams responsible to confirm accuracy in orderbook and pipeline reporting, overheads, interest, tax and balance sheet/cash flow phasing/ expenditure.
  • Journal preparation and posting as required to finalise month end results in SAP and/or BCS.

To be successful in this role you will need

  • CPA or CA qualified.
  • 7+ years in accounting positions.
  • Experience in a similar business reporting, management or corporate accountant role.
  • Project reporting.
  • SAP and other enterprise level accounting and support systems highly regarded.
  • Detailed oriented, pragmatic, with experience interfacing with senior stakeholders in a large corporate environment.
  • The ability to work well under pressure to meet constant deadlines.
