About the role

The Lake Vermont Coal Project is situated in Dysart, North Queensland.

As our next Heavy Diesel Fitter, reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, you will work collaboratively towards delivering high-quality solutions and results.

The successful applicants will join a passionate and energetic team where they will be responsible for providing technical knowledge, support and assistance to Thiess’ maintenance operations.  The role will also provide an opportunity to expand your maintenance technical skills and become a leader in the mechanical field.

Roster & Conditions

  • 7 on 7 off rotating shift roster.
  • 12.5-hour day & night shift.
  • Permanent position.
  • Camp accommodation provided
  • A bus will be provided from Rockhampton & Mackay to site
  • Salary sacrifice flights

About you

To be successful in this role, you are required to have;

  • Heavy diesel fitting trade
  • HR driver’s licence preferable
  • Post-trade experience working in the mining and heavy earth moving industry, or hydraulic excavator industry
  • Experience in general maintenance, tyre fitting, breakdowns, component change outs and servicing mining equipment
